When it became apparent that Ash was available on a free following his decision to retire from the hectic world of advertising, he was thought to be a perfect choice for the Falcons. His natural talent and rock-star good looks would ensure that he blended in perfectly with the team. Unfortunately for his colleagues, they overlooked the fact that his talent was in singing and his looks made him a perfect choice to be a rock star rather than a footballer. Since he was clearly more suited to being a showman on stage than on the football pitch, Ash's career in music looks set to blossom, while his football career is limited to a few minutes a month on the Falcon's left wing between rehearsals.

Wary of becoming branded a one trick pony, Ash decided to take on the job of SC Falcon manager in 2004/2005 and despite a promising start to the season he had to make do with yet another wooden spoon performance from the team. Undettered Ash continues to display his skills on the field and he still retains the ability to finish clinically and float like a ballerina as he demonstrates the now legendary trick number one on the left wing.

The 2005/2006 season actually saw Ash demonstrating a second trick as he began heading almost every ball that came near him. Defences throughout the league will be fearing the day that he starts to convert some of his obvious stage presence into a meaningful presence on the pitch and develops the much anticipated trick number three.

Ash still holds the Falcons record for the shortest ever appearance lasting barely a minute before a career threatening hangover kicked in. It remains to be seen if anyone can get even remotely near this record in the forthcoming seasons.
