Spawned
from the fertile hotbed of footballing talent that is Portugal,
Jose arrived in England with a natural flair and a raw ability which
were soon enhanced with the power and solidity required to make
it as a successful footballer in the parks of his adopted homeland
of South London. Constantly worried by the effects which the diminutive
genes associated with his Iberian parentage might have on his footballing
performance, Jose experimented with growth hormones from an early
age. Although this was only a brief flirtation, he has continued
to grow in all directions ever since.
Jose now makes an imposing figure on the pitch, where his stature
belies the sublime skills innate to any Portugee. His composure, aerial prowess and occasional thunderbolt shot earned
him the prestigious Falcons' player of the year award in the 2001/2002
season. |
