Pascal
earned his nickname of 'Paco', a virtuous cartoon character in his
homeland of France, with his heroic performances and calm leadership
on the football pitch.
When he left school he was able to build himself a successful career
in non-league football while earning a living training to be a top
chef in a high-class restaurant. Keen to broaden his horizons he
decided to move to England and on arrival he was an instant hit
in the world of catering. His suave Gallic accent and authentic
knowledge of the sophisticated world of French cuisine landed him
a job as Kitchen Staff Supervisor in one of London's poshest restaurants.
Unfortunately, the high demand for his culinary skills came at a
cost as he was unable to find a club at which to ply his trade as
a footballer.
A
change of job and a chance encounter with a strange man playing
with a ball in the dodgy part of North London where he lived led
to Pace joining the Finsbury Park Occasionals. It was here that
his ability to serve up a tantalising feast of footballing skills
to suit the most sophisticated pallet was spotted by the ever-vigilant
Falcons' scouts. He was invited to join them for training where
he impressed the management team with his cool style and refined
control and was instantly snapped up on a free transfer.
The Falcons may
not be posh enough to eat at the Ritz, but expect Paco to serve up some silver-service displays in the midfield this season.
