An Egyptian plying his trade in London with an uncanny knack of finding the target with either his feet or his head. A player with a succession of high-profile altercations with football managers, both at home and abroad. A player with a full head of curly, flowing, greasy, black hair. All of these describe the current Spurs striker Mido, and, greasy hair aside, they also describe the Falcon’s own Pharoah, Seif Hamouda.

Although Seif is one of the leading scorers for the Falcons in the current campaign, 2005/2006 has been a difficult season for The Pharaoh. His prolific goal scoring has been achieved despite incurring a six month team ban imposed after a touchline clash with the Gaffer back in December. It was a great relief to all his team mates when a couple of conciliatory pints of Kaliber shandy with the manager in the birthplace of the Falcons put an end to the ban.

Although sometimes complaining of hamstring troubles (hangovers?) Seif’s inability to get back to full fitness has seen him establish himself as a key player in the Falcon’s rise to prominence over recent months. Long may the reign of The Pharaoh continue.
