Simon is nicknamed "The baby-faced globetrotter". His team-mates wanted to suffix the baby-face bit with something a bit more appropriate to his footballing skills, but as they battled bravely with a threadbare squad during his absence, they just had to accept that his time spent in Australia last season was a more significant factor in the team's league position than his performances on the pitch. Simon is a versatile player, comfortable either in the midfield or as an energetic, and occasionally remarkably composed, right back. He is the youngest member of the squad, and as such has the most potential for improvement, which is just about the only way to account for his continued presence in the squad.

Simon has a weakness for Oriental ladies and scored an embarrassing own goal at the inaugural Falcons Christmas do. After successfully pulling two young ladies, he got to the point of no return only to find out that the young ladies were in fact young lady boys. He hasn't scored since.
